Technical description:
The Blue Flamed skirtings - 2 cm thick and 30 or 40 cm length - have a flamed blue top face, and a bottom surface, a back surface and 3 sawn edges.
The 'Blue Flamed' mechanical finish is a medium blue-grey surface with a multitude of irregular, slightly glittering, more or less evenly distributed white asperities. Obtained by passing a jet of flame (at an angle of about 45°) over a slice of sawn stone immersed in water, the thermal shock causes the surface grains to break up and gives the specific texture of this finish. Mechanical surfacing is carried out on the large visible surface of the slice (not on the edges or returns), before the finished products are cut to size.
Notes:
- Other lengths are available with a maximum of 60 cm.
- The long edge is Light Blue Honed.
- Tolerances to standards [NBN EN 12058].
