First sculpture symposium in Fratin

ADMIRE ARTISANAL STONEMASONRY FROM AUGUST 10 TO 28 AT MARBRERIE CRÉMER IN FRATIN

Today, sculptures are increasingly realized with the use of computer-controlled machines. Marbrerie Crémer wants to put the craftsmanship and the art of stonemasonry in the spotlights by opening their doors to international artists. Over two weeks, 6 sculptors from Belgium, Italy and Portugal will be crafting Blue Limestone of Hainaut and Italian white stone in front of the public eye. They will realize creative works from raw blocks of natural stone.

These artists will be guided by the following themes: ecology, nature, assistance and sharing. "Marbrerie Crémer not only wants to support the craftsmanship of stonemasonry, but also youth actions that have humanitarian activities to achieve world peace. All the little things help," says Etienne Crémer, owner of Marbrerie Crémer.

The doors to the public are open from August 10 to 27, from 3 to 6 pm. Come and admire the work of sculptors Dorian Vanhoorenbeeck, Alexandre Forceille, Jean de Winter, Marc de Winter, Elisa Sordeli (Italy) and Abilio Febra (Portugal) in the hall of Marbrerie Crémer.
